Citizens of the Republic face various requirements when crossing international borders. Among the popular destinations the following features can be highlighted:
- A visa is required to enter the United States. The most commonly issued type is a tourist/business visa B1/B2. The interview at the US Embassy in Yerevan can be done in 3 languages: Armenian, English or Russian.
- Travel to Canada is accompanied by a temporary resident visa (TRV). The application can be submitted online through the Canadian Immigration Service or at the Canadian Visa Application Centre.
- Negotiations are underway with the European Union on a visa-free regime. Currently, a preliminary Schengen visa is required.
- To enter Australia, citizens of Armenia must apply for a Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) for travel for tourism, business or family visits. The visa can be issued for 3, 6 or 12 months, depending on the circumstances of the applicant.
