Where can Thai citizens apply for eTA

Citizens of the Kingdom of Thailand face various requirements when crossing international borders. Some of the most popular destinations include:

• Citizens of Thailand enjoy significant privileges within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The ASEAN Visa Waiver Agreement allows Thais to freely travel to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Brunei without a visa in advance. The maximum visa-free stay in these countries is 14-30 days.
•  Citizens of Thailand must obtain a visa in advance to visit the Schengen Area. A standard Schengen visa allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
• For travel to the United States, Thais must obtain a B1/B2 visa (for business and tourism). It is issued for up to 10 years and allows stays of up to 6 months per trip.
• In Canada, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required for tourism and short-term business visits. Validity period – up to 5 years.

When applying for visas to most developed countries, citizens of Thailand must demonstrate financial solvency. For a Schengen visa, confirmation of funds at the rate of €60 per day of stay is required. For a UK visa, this amount is about £50 per day. In the USA and Canada, the specific amount is not established, but the applicant must convincingly prove the ability to finance their trip without resorting to illegal work.
