The Greek passport opens up a wide range of opportunities for international travel, providing its holders with a privileged status in many countries around the world. Below are the key features for traveling with a Greek passport:

• As a full member of the European Union, Greece citizens enjoy the privilege of free movement, residence and employment in all EU member states without restrictions.
• Since 2010, Greece has been a participant in the US Visa Waiver Program. Instead of a visa, it is enough to obtain an electronic authorization (ESTA), which allows you to stay in the US for up to 90 days. ESTA is valid for 2 years and allows multiple visits to the country.
• When flying to Canada, Greek citizens must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). The Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is valid for 5 years from the date of issue or until the passport expires.
• For travel to Australia, Greek citizens can use the eVisitor electronic visa. This visa allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days and is valid for 1 year from the date of arrival.
• A tourist visa is required to visit Russia. Basic requirements include a passport valid for at least 6 months after leaving Russia. An electronic visa (e-visa) is also available.
