Serbia is a European country located in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Its unique nature, favorable conditions for business development, high standards of educational services and medical care, and friendly attitude towards Russians are just some of the many reasons why compatriots visit the country. Serbia is not a member of the EU and is not under the jurisdiction of the Schengen Agreement. Under these conditions, it is easier for Russians to obtain permission to enter the country. They are granted a visa-free regime for a period of 30 days with the possibility of resetting (it is enough to leave the Serbian state once a month). However, after crossing the Serbian border, it is necessary to undergo a registration procedure (no later than 24 hours). If a foreign guest stays in a hotel, the responsibility for registration lies with the administration of the establishment.
The local authorities have provided standard formats of permits that allow foreign guests to cross the national border:
- Category "C" visa (issued for a short period – up to 90 days);
- Category "D" visa (issued for a long period – up to 180 days).
Permission to enter the Balkan country is processed within 15-20 working days from the moment of document submission. The visa is issued at the Serbian embassy (Moscow, Mosfilmovskaya St., 46).
