Types of Residence Permits
Foreign citizens who obtain a residence permit in Montenegro receive an identification card with a photo, called "boravak." This document confirms the person's right to stay in the country and contains all the necessary information about the immigrant.
In Montenegro, there are several different types of residence permits:

- Financial independence and digital nomadism;
- Real estate purchase.
The duration of the status depends on the grounds on which it was issued.
