Almost 20 years ago (on May 1, 2004), Slovenia became part of the European Union. Thanks to this, a Slovenian passport offers its holder several advantages. A citizen has the right to visit 170 countries without a visa, including Canada and the USA. They can live in any EU territory, have access to the real estate and labor market in their place of residence. The internal identity document is a plastic card. The passport is issued in the form of a booklet with a sturdy burgundy cover. In the center is the national coat of arms. At the top, the name of the Republic and its membership in the European Union are indicated.
